I am a British art historian and writer. I studied Art History and English Studies at Nottingham University (2003-2006) and Art Writing at Goldsmiths (2008-2010) before moving to Pakistan in 2011, where I taught at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture and Architecture in Karachi, and was a co-coordinator of Vasl Artists’ Association. I am currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in Art History at Sarah Lawrence College.

Prior to joining Sarah Lawrence, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate (2019-21) in Art History at The Graduate Center, City University of New York, where I also completed my PhD in 2019. At The Graduate Center, I received an enhanced doctoral fellowship as a Humanities Fellow, and my dissertation research was supported by the Asian Cultural Council, the Paul Mellon Center for the Study of British Art, the Modernist Studies Association, and the American Institute of Pakistan Studies, among others.
